
The 2026 Alberta Provincial Dodgeball Championships provides the opportunity for Alberta teams to qualify for the 2026 Dodgeball Canada Club Championships in Toronto, ON on May 14 - 17, 2026.
Date: March 7 - 8, 2026 Location: Edmonton Volleyball and Pickleball (EVP) Centre Address: 9455 45th Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 6B9 Schedule: Saturday, 9am - 6pm Round Robin Matches Sunday, 9am - 3pm Round Robin and Playoff Matches
Divisions: Men's and Women's
Expectations: Teams should expect 6-8 round robin games of 20 minutes on Saturday and early Sunday. Only the top 8 teams in each division will make playoffs.
Deadline to register and pay will be February 22, 2026. This will be managed through Dodgeball Hub
Each member of your team must add themselves to the team roster, also through Dodgeball Hub.
All participants must purchase a 2026 High Performance Dodgeball Canada/Dodgeball Alberta membership, which totals $25. Participants will be prompted to purchase this membership when joining a team through Dodgeball Hub. The DC-POL-10 Members Benefits policy outlines the official Dodgeball Canada membership year, member privileges, member categories, fee schedule, membership termination, and other key information.
Teams may only carry a maximum of 12 players total
Teams may only carry a maximum of 2 out of province players
Coaches must also be registered onto the team roster
This tournament is a qualifier for the 2026 Dodgeball Canada Club Championships in Toronto, ON on May 14 - 17, 2026.
Alberta will send the top teams to compete in Tier 1 and Tier 2 of Clubs, allocations pending Dodgeball Canada. Placement games will be played out to ensure additional teams that qualify are chosen based on ranking at this tournament.

*PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING KEY CHANGES IN DODGEBALL CANADA'S ELEGIBILITY RULES AS PER THE DECEMBER 2025 UPDATE:
We will be following the Official 2022 WDBF 7” Foam rules with the Dodgeball Canada Amendments for this tournament. i.e. catches must be secured by having 2 points of contact within the court boundaries.
Volunteer forms will be sent out to the community closer to the tournament date. Please reach out to Dodgeball Alberta if you would like to support with running the event in any capacity, inclusive of setup/takedown, event organization, day-of coordination, streaming support, first aid standby, etc. Thank you in advance for your help.
All teams will be required to officiate games during the tournament. The refereeing assignments will appear on the Dodgeball Hub schedule closer to the event date.
A mandatory online referee training session will be scheduled before the tournament, led by the Dodgeball Alberta Head Referee, Jack Phavone. A minimum of one representative from each team will be required to attend.
Two courts will livestreamed, one with commentary where possible, by Dodgeball.Live. All other courts will be recorded and posted following the tournament.
