Description The Club Dodgeball League invites local players to make teams and compete in the large format matches featured at the WDBF World Championships. Teams will play a one 40min WDBF style match each week. Teams are Mix Gendered, see Roster Requirements below for more info. The league uses Swiss play where a computer assigns weekly matchups based on league standings. This allows a broad range of teams to participate and for matchups to stay competitive all season long. Come play!
Details: Day and Time: Mondays, 7-9pm Location: Yesler Community Center Dates: July 14 – August 25 Competition Level: Medium to High Ball Type: 7” Foam League Size: 12 team max League Schedule: 7 weeks total – 6 week regular season, 1 week finals.
Cost: $350 per team
Registration Opens: June 23rd, 10pm Registration Deadline: July 3rd at 11:59 PM
Playoffs: The regular season is short, so each week matters. The finals week will feature rivalry matches between teams next to each other in the standings. For example: 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, etc… This means if you want to compete for a gold medal, you need to compete every week and finish in the top two of the league standings!
Rosters Requirements: Matches are 6v6. Starting rosters must consist of 3 non cismales and 3 cis males. Rosters are capped at 8 players and cannot exceed 4 non-cismales or 4 cismales. This is designed to help distribute players across the league.
Substitutes: Teams are allowed to recruit subs to replace rostered players during the regular season. Subs are not allowed in the playoffs unless there is an emergency. In the case of emergency, subs must be cleared with the league organizers.
