As a queer owned and operated league, Dodgeball San Diego seeks to create a space in which we can celebrate our diverse dodgeball community while simultaneously celebrating the many facets of our vibrant queer community. We welcome players from across the spectrum regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression. However, in order to ensure the diversity of our teams and tournament, we enforce the following requirements for all teams that are participating.
Each team must:
Please understand that these team requirements are based on self-identification and are designed to foster a diverse tournament that reflects the vibrancy of our communities. Dodgeball San Diego does not enforce any on-court gender requirements for this tournament. However, players must not sit out consecutive games unless injury prevents their participation
Each team captain should register first to create their team in our system. Once a team is created additional players may register and select the team from the dropdown during the registration process. A team must have five members registered in order to secure their spot in this tournament.
Day two of this tournament will have every registered player randomly assigned to a team. Gameplay will follow the same format as on day one, with the exception being that teams will be split into two single-elimination brackets (top/bottom) based on round-robin performance.
Air conditioned, plenty of parking, space to stretch out, and a food court on-site. Gobble those glizzys while you watch your friends get pummeled on the court. Three full-size basketball courts plus that delightful high-quality flooring that makes playing less brutal on the knees.
